Thinking Football, day four

Today, March 13, Thinking Football 2018 continues with the screening of two documentaries. The first of them, from Israel, tells the story of one of the most racist stands in the world, featuring the radical fans of Beitar Jerusalem and how they received the first (and only) Muslim players in the club’s history. Made by Maya Zinshtein,"Forever Pure" is a documentary that warns of the danger and destructiveness of hatred towards the other-the different.

Then at 8:00 pm, the German documentary “Zweikampfer” by the German filmmaker Mehdi Benhadj-Djilali will be screened. The title translates into Spanish as “Los Duelistas” (The Duellists) and the documentary accompanies a group of unemployed footballers, who had glory in their fingertips but are now debating whether or not to accept an offer from faraway Vietnam. After the screening of the film, attendees will be able to chat with the director of the film, as well as one of its stars, Benjamin Schüßler, a former Borussia Mönchengladbach player, among other teams.

All screenings will take place at Sala BBK, with free entrance until all seats are full.
